The JCRA 2003 will give three prizes in the following
categories:
Best FPGA-based Educational Board
Best Scientific Paper
Best Tutorial
JCRA 2003 prize to the best FPGA-based
Educational Board
The objective of this prize is to encourage the design
of educational boards for student laboratories of Reconfigurable Computing
and FPGA-based Digital Design. Industrial applications or research-oriented
works won't be admitted.
The best work will be chosen among all articles presented in JCRA'2003.
The inclusion of additional hardware in the board, such as an VGA interface,
microcontrollers, DACs and ADCs, memories, etc... is admitted.
The article that describes the board should include, among others, schematic,
VHDL code, application examples, etc...
The items which will be evaluated are: usefulness, originality, aspect
and finishing of the product, quality of the practical examples, board
cost, possibility to be used by other universities (open-hardware).
The jury will be composed by the members of the Program Committee attending
the workshop. The jury will be able to ask any additional questions
to the candidates during the workshop, and to debate during the time
that they consider necessary about the presented works.
The presentation of the boards will be carried out during a brief session
of demonstrations inside JCRA. The participants should inform in advance
about the audiovisual material needed (monitor, PC, etc...).
