Weather

Although Madrid shares the latitude of Naples and Istanbul, its climate is more continental, with pronounced contrasts between day and night, sun and shade, and summer and winter.

Madrid's summer should really be divided into two sections; the pleasant summer and very-hot-summer. The former may or may not last all through June, and then begins again in mid to late August. This is a good time of the year to visit Madrid. Many people like it in Madrid this time of year, as the city has much less traffic and the mood is quiet during August holidays. Here we have the average temperatures in these months in Madrid:

- August: 32 ºC
- September: 25 ºC

You can obtain more information on the weather in Madrid in the dates of the FPL06 in this link.
